A marketplace experience built around discovery and scale.

The project involved creating a modern ecommerce marketplace platform for a Boston-based business looking to establish a scalable online marketplace similar in concept to major multi-vendor ecommerce platforms.

Our role covered the design and development of the website as well as the search engine optimization strategy required to create a stronger foundation for long-term organic visibility.

Rather than simply reproducing the visual language of existing ecommerce giants, we focused on creating a distinctive product experience with clear navigation, structured product discovery, conversion-oriented interfaces and scalable content architecture.

Turning a marketplace idea into a digital commerce experience.

01

From product discovery to checkout, every major interaction was considered as part of one connected customer journey.

01

Marketplace Architecture

We planned the experience around a marketplace model capable of supporting large product catalogs, categories, sellers, customer accounts and transactional journeys.

02

Conversion-Focused UX

Navigation, product discovery, product detail pages, cart and checkout were designed to reduce friction and help users move naturally toward purchasing.

03

SEO Foundation

We incorporated SEO considerations into the information architecture, category structure, landing pages and content strategy instead of treating SEO as an afterthought.

Creating simplicity inside a complex marketplace.

Marketplace products can become complicated very quickly. Thousands of products, categories, sellers, promotions, customer accounts and transactional states all compete for attention.

The challenge was to make the platform feel simple for customers while still providing enough structure for a sophisticated ecommerce operation.

01

Organize large product catalogs without overwhelming users.

02

Create an intuitive marketplace navigation system.

03

Reduce friction across product discovery and checkout.

04

Create an SEO-friendly structure capable of scaling.
